PROJECTS
Agriculture & Infrastructure –
- Agriculture – Assessment of the farm land that the communities have available, health of soil and determination of fallow cycles, funds for better seed and fertilizer, acquiring tractors and farm implements, strategy creation that would move them beyond subsistence farming into farming for surplus and income.
- Livestock – Acquiring more cows and chickens both for subsistence and hopefully, profit generation.
- Sanitation – Education on sanitation and personal hygiene, safe toilets/latrines and hygienic management of waste, sinks with running water for washing after toilet use, grey water reclamation, an effort to build bio-gas digesters for each home for the safe disposal of human and animal waste and the generation of methane gas which could then be used as a cooking fuel, instead of wood.
- Clean Water – Assistance in digging wells, reclamation of both rain water and grey water, water purification.
- Electricity – (very expensive, complicated stretch vision) Off Grid…help with harnessing both wind and solar energy for home use with a backup generator for the community.
